Meet Preston
Preston grew up in a little farm town in West Texas called Stamford. He loves exploring Austin with my wife and three dogs, reading good books, playing board games, being outside, playing music, and doing anything geeky. He also loves going camping with his wife in their vintage 1970 Camel Dunes Popup camper.
Who is your favorite Tiny Tails animal, and why?
Boba Fluff, the gray and white Holland Lop rabbit, is my favorite animal right now. He is the sweetest little guy and has the softest fur.
How long have you been working for Tiny Tails To You?
Since February 2018.
Favorite non-Tiny Tails animal?
I often joke that my patronus (Harry Potter reference!) is a swarm of fireflies. I am just so enchanted by lightning bugs. They are the coolest and still bring me a child-like sense of wonder when I see them!
What is your favorite thing about working for Tiny Tails to You?
It’s the laughter and joy I experience as people get to encounter animals in an up-close setting. I literally get to deliver joy to people all over Austin, and it’s awesome!
Where are you from? How long have you lived in Austin?
I grew up in a little farm town in West Texas called Stamford. My wife and I moved to the Austin metro December 2012 and moved into Austin in October 2018.
Where is your favorite place in Austin, and why?
The Vegan Nom! Not only the best vegan tacos in town, but the best tacos period.
What is something you are really passionate about right now?
This past year I have developed an obsession with Mister Rogers after watching the most recent documentary about his life. That has caused me to become very passionate about helping people become their best selves and find the things that make them most happy. I also love making people feel special and loved just they way they are.
What do you do outside of working at Tiny Tails to You (hobbies, other work, etc…)?
I love exploring with my wife and three dogs. I enjoy reading good books, playing board games, being outside, playing music, and doing anything geeky. I also wrote a kids' book that I am really proud of.
